Generative Dialogue Project

GDP Community

The GDP consists of the wider GDP Community, the Core Group, Organizational Sponsors, and the Support Team.

The GDP Community

The wider GDP community was formed at the GDP Launch Meeting in October 2005 by a launch group of about 45 people who include process experts, dialogue promoters, and problem owners.

The GDP Principles and Criteria for membership expansion guide the GDP's membership expansion strategy.

Core Group

A working Core Group is helping to guide the GDP community and accomplish its objectives. The group is engaged in defining, developing, and promoting GDP peer learning and action research activities. The Core Group has committed to participate in monthly teleconferences and up to three in-person meetings in 2006, the first of which was held in February in the Netherlands. A subcommittee of the Core Group, the Coordinating Team, has taken on further responsibility of meeting bi-weekly with the GDP staff to help provide direction and oversight of its activities.

Organizational Sponsors

GDP sponsors are institutions providing support to the project through the participation of key personnel as Core Team members, through the reputational value of their endorsement, and in some cases through contributions of  resources and financial backing.

Support Team

This small team provides the infrastructure needed to support the emergence and collective activity of the GDP community. In addition, it provides professional support for the creation of project outputs, such as reports, case materials, and project communications.
